Identity through Micrography

WHAT IS IDENTITY?

Your identity is made up of many things. It's like a puzzle with lots of pieces. Some pieces are things you like, like your favorite color or your hobbies, like playing soccer or drawing. Other pieces are things that make you unique, like your family, where you come from, and the language you speak, your interests, and the things you believe in. It's also about how you see yourself and how others see you.

What are some traits that describe you,  I’m smart, kind, athletic, musical, creative…

Your identity can personalize your artwork.

Self portraits are a way to explore identity.

Step one:

Create a background using a variety of drawing and coloring tools, applying ideas and concepts from the brainstorming session. Focus on the use of line and color to symbolize identity. Keep the details minimal.

Step two:

Take your picture with the iPad, or ask a friend to take a picture of you.
